A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer to join its highly regarded Construction and Engineering team in Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior role in a busy, high-performing practice, delivering strategic advice on complex construction projects across the UK.

The Role

  • Providing strategic advice to high-calibre clients including developers, contractors, funders, operators, and public bodies
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC, and bespoke agreements)
  • Supporting Partners on complex, high-profile matters across sectors such as residential, office, retail, life sciences, energy, industrials, and transport
  • Leading client relationships and contributing to the growth and development of the team

You will have autonomy, significant client engagement, and the opportunity to influence key transactional and advisory work, helping the team maintain its reputation for market-leading service.

About You

  • At least 4 years’ PQE in construction law, with strong technical expertise in non-contentious matters
  • Proven experience advising on complex UK construction or engineering projects
  • A track record of delivering innovative, client-focused solutions
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers, with the ability to support team development
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for legal innovation, including process improvement and use of technology
