We are delighted to be working exclusively with a highly regarded, full-service regional law firm to recruit a talented construction lawyer to join their expanding Construction and Engineering team based in Manchester city centre.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven construction lawyer with 3+ years PQE to join a team that punches well above its weight, acting for substantial regional and national clients across the full spectrum of construction and engineering work in the UK. The firm is consistently highly ranked in the leading legal directories and is widely recognised as an outstanding place to build a career.

The role offers genuine flexibility on level, with the firm open to appointing at Associate, Senior Associate or at a higher level depending on the experience and profile of the right candidate.

You will work across a broad mix of construction and engineering matters, with a preference for candidates who can demonstrate experience across both non-contentious and contentious work. Day-to-day you can expect to be advising on standard form building contracts, providing clear and practical commercial advice to lay clients, supporting and developing junior members of the team, and actively contributing to the growth of the practice through business development and cross-referral activity across the wider firm.

Our client is looking for someone who is technically strong but equally personable – a self-motivated lawyer who wants to genuinely contribute to the development of the team rather than simply fill a seat. You will bring strong drafting skills, a sharp commercial instinct, and a genuine focus on client care. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in construction law, a solid working knowledge of the main standard forms of building contract, and the ambition and aptitude to keep developing as a lawyer.

A clearly defined career path with real opportunities for advancement, close working relationships with the team's partners, and a supportive environment that actively invests in its people. This is a firm that means it when it says it wants to help you grow.
