In-house Legal Counsel (2-4 PQE) - Fintech Sector, Manchester

We are seeking a Solicitor to join a rapidly growing financial technology company based in Manchester city centre.

The Role: This is a full-time, permanent position offering substantial scope for professional development and progression. You will support the Legal Director in critical areas as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Legal Director with day-to-day legal requirements.
  • Advise the Commercial Director on commercial arrangements with various partners.
  • Assist the Financial Crime Director in managing fraud and money laundering risk.
  • Serve as a primary contact for banking-as-a-service providers.
  • Support and manage Data Protection and Complaints functions.
  • Advise on IP, general business risk, and occasional litigation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2-4 years' Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
  • Strong commercial legal background (private practice or in-house).
  • Experience or demonstrable interest in the Fintech sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent technical, organisational, commercial, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Location: Office-based, Manchester city centre.
