A leading national law firm with a strong regional presence is seeking a commercially minded real estate lawyer to join its highly regarded Northern Real Estate Transactions team.

The Team

This is a well-established and respected team operating across Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester, forming part of one of the largest national real estate practices in the UK. The team advises on a broad range of commercial property matters, with particular strengths in development-led transactions, investment acquisitions and disposals, property finance and strategic land. Known for its pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, the team acts for developers, investors, landowners, funders and occupiers on complex, high-value transactions across the full property lifecycle.

The Role

  • You will advise on a varied portfolio of real estate transactions, managing matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals, development projects, investment work, property finance and landlord and tenant matters.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing clear, commercial advice.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across planning, construction, corporate, banking and tax on multi-disciplinary matters.
  • Supporting business development and contributing to wider team growth initiatives.
  • At senior level: supervising and mentoring junior team members.

About You

  • Minimum 4 years PQE.
  • Strong transactional real estate experience, with a focus on development work (residential or commercial).
  • Able to manage a varied caseload with attention to detail and a consistently high standard of client service.
  • Commercial and pragmatic, with the confidence to engage directly with clients.
  • Interested in business development and building long-term client relationships.
