We are working with a leading global legal and business services firm with a well-earned reputation for tackling complex infrastructure, energy, and regeneration mandates. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team at the heart of the UK's net zero transition and major infrastructure programme — advising on the land, property, and rights issues that make large-scale projects possible.

If you're a sharp commercial real estate lawyer who thrives on complex transactions, enjoys genuine variety, and wants to work on matters that shape the built environment, this role was written for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated property agreements — leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition documents across live infrastructure projects.
  • Advising on land rights, title issues, and due diligence — getting under the skin of complex title and resolving defects that others find impenetrable.
  • Supporting land assembly for utility projects, including grid upgrades and pipeline installations at the forefront of the UK's energy infrastructure push.
  • Negotiating third-party rights and consents, securing access for projects that matter — from renewable energy to major urban regeneration schemes.
  • Advising on land access strategies for energy projects, working alongside engineers, planners, and other advisers in truly multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Leading the legal project management workstreams that keep complex, multi-party mandates moving.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
  • Strong commercial real estate experience, ideally with utilities or infrastructure exposure
  • Excellent drafting skills and a confident negotiator
  • Comfortable managing complex transactions with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of statutory undertaker rights and land law
  • Experience with public sector bodies or regulated industries
  • A genuine team player who works well across disciplines
