In-house Real Estate Lawyer – 5+ years PQE
Rapidly expanding British business, Lancashire
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join a progressive and innovative in-house legal team at a rapidly expanding Lancashire-based business.
The Role
As a pivotal member of both the legal department and the wider organisation, you will initially focus on providing expert legal advice and support on real estate matters, with opportunities to expand into other legal areas as you become established within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Real Estate & Property
- Conduct comprehensive property due diligence and prepare detailed reports on title and transactional documents
- Provide property-related corporate support across the business
- Draft and negotiate various real estate agreements
- Maintain expertise in Land Registry processes and SDLT requirements
- Ensure all necessary approvals are secured prior to completing real estate transactions
- Support our Utilities/EV team with property-related matters
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with all departments to gather instructions and provide strategic legal input
- Mentor and guide junior team members on specific projects
- Contribute to broader commercial, litigation, and corporate legal matters
- Assist with data protection queries in collaboration with our external Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Essential Requirements
- UK qualified solicitor
- Minimum 5 years PQE in real estate law
- Strong exposure to development work
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
- Previous in-house legal experience (advantageous but not essential)
