Our client, a highly regarded boutique law firm known for its outstanding expertise in IP, commercial, and litigation matters, is seeking a dynamic Head of Commercial to lead and grow its established commercial practice.

This firm has built a reputation for advising well-known brands, tech innovators, and fast-growth businesses across sectors including media, sport, fashion, entertainment, and technology. The Role

This strategic appointment is for a driven individual totake ownership of the firm’s commercial practice, working closely with partners across IP, litigation, and corporate. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of commercial work, including cross over with IP which is a core team and focal point for the firm

  • Managing and mentoring a growing team of talented associates and junior lawyers

  • Driving business development and client engagement initiatives with a strong commercial outlook

  • Contributing to wider firm strategy as part of the leadership group

About You

We’re looking for a commercially minded and astute individual with:

  • Extensive experience handling commercial work across a range of sectors

  • Experience managing client relationships and managing junior individuals in a small team

  • Deep familiarity with commercial contracts, IP-rich environments, and ideallyfast-growth sectors such as tech, media, and sport

  • A confident, collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and BD skills
