Our client, a well-regarded law firm based in Newcastle, is seeking a Commercial NQ Solicitor to join their established Commercial team. This role has arisen due to a team member\'s planned move to an in-house position, creating an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to step into a varied and rewarding role.

The Team:
You\'ll be joining a close-knit Commercial team of 6, including an experienced Partner, 3 Associates, a Legal Assistant, and a Paralegal. It\'s a friendly, supportive environment where you\'ll receive excellent supervision and mentoring whilst being given the autonomy to develop your own client relationships and grow your practice.
The team dynamic strikes the perfect balance – structured enough to provide support and development, but agile enough to give you real responsibility and client exposure from day one.
The Role:
This is a broad commercial practice covering a diverse range of work.
Type of work: High value commercial contracts, public procurement, construction projects, software contracts, and intellectual property protection and exploitation. This includes IP licensing instructions, portfolio work for registered IP (trademarks and registered designs), contentious IP matters such as trademark opposition proceedings, copyright infringement, and other contentious litigation (Alongside our dispute team). Media licensing deals, copyright, and performance rights.
Sectors: Technology and entertainment, Toy and hobby market, video games, gambling and betting, food, leisure, fashion, hospitality, and social media influencers.
The firm works with an interesting mix of regional and national clients, meaning you\'ll handle sophisticated work whilst building strong, long-term client relationships – the kind of practice that will genuinely advance your career.
