A prestigious Tier 1 ranked UK law firm is seeking an ambitious and client-focused Real Estate lawyer to join their award-winning Leeds team in a newly created, strategic role. This role can be Leeds based OR suitable for those living further afield and happy to work on a remote basis. Full or Part time hours considered.
The Opportunity: This is an exceptional opportunity for a 3+ PQE lawyer looking to take their career in a different direction. Unlike traditional generalist real estate positions, this role is uniquely aligned to key UK clients and offers the chance to work directly alongside London client partners, supporting and broadening relationships with some of the most high-profile and high-calibre clients in the market. You'll focus exclusively on a handful of major clients, enabling you to develop deep sector expertise and build strong, lasting client relationships whilst benefitting from the comprehensive support, training, and career development opportunities available at a leading international firm.
Work-Life Balance: Offering genuine flexibility and work-life balance with increased certainty in working hours, this role can be office-based or primarily home-based with travel to the Leeds office at least twice per month (negotiable depending on experience level). Additional attendance will be required initially for team training and occasional visits to London to meet with clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as a key member of principal client account teams, working on market-leading deals across the full spectrum of commercial property work including:
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Property management
- Sales and purchases
- Development and regeneration
- Corporate support work
- Working directly with London client partners on high-value, complex transactions
- Supporting the development and broadening of relationships with strategic clients
- Engaging with formal training programmes (technical and skills-based) and benefitting from mentoring, coaching, and leadership development
Essential Requirements:
- UK qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE in commercial real estate
- Happy to look at experience gained from all levels of firm from high street, regional, nationals and internationals
- Proven experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Confident in drafting clear, legally effective documents that reflect client instructions
- Motivated by the opportunity to work in a client-facing, relationship-driven role
What Makes This Role Different: This is ideal for candidates who want to heighten their client exposure, move away from the generalist real estate model, and play a key role in developing relationships with some of the firm's most important clients. You'll receive first-class technical insight and training while building your long-term career as a well-rounded commercial lawyer.
Competitive salary and comprehensive bonus and benefits package.
