I’m working with a highly regarded international firm looking to add a junior solicitor to its growing Property Litigation team in Leeds. This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone at NQ–3 years’ PQE, including those qualifying into general commercial litigation who are keen to specialise in property disputes. The team has an excellent reputation for support, development and culture – a place where junior lawyers are given proper exposure and guidance from day one. The practice has a particular strength in telecoms litigation, which makes up a significant proportion of the workload, alongside a broader spread of commercial property disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Serving statutory notices and advising on validity and conditionality
  • Contentious lease renewals, termination notices and related proceedings
  • Interpreting and enforcing lease obligations
  • Arrears recovery and tenant insolvency matters
  • Possession claims relating to commercial premises
  • Service charge disputes
  • Dilapidations work, including notices and advisory matters
  • Opportunity to take on some supervisory responsibility over time (depending on experience)
