A well-established and growing commercial law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit a Banking Solicitor (1+ PQE) to join its busy and highly regarded finance team.

This is a great opportunity for a lawyer early in their career who is looking to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of banking and finance matters. You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team with a strong pipeline of work involving corporate lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance, and asset-based lending .

The Role

You’ll assist on a variety of transactions acting for both lenders and borrowers, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating loan agreements and security documents.

  • Supporting senior solicitors on complex multi-party deals.

  • Managing your own matters with appropriate supervision.

  • Building client relationships and contributing to high-quality service delivery.

You’ll have access to ongoing training, mentoring from experienced team members, and the opportunity to work directly with high-profile clients.

About You

  • 1+ years\’ post-qualified experience in banking and finance

  • A good understanding of loan and security structures, or a genuine interest in developing this expertise.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from senior colleagues.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
