We are working with our partner, a highly regarded professional services firm, to appoint an Audit Manager to its expanding Social Purpose and Social Housing practice. This role is ideal for an audit professional who wants their work to have real-world impact. The Opportunity
As an Audit Manager, you will lead audits for a wide range of not-for-profit and social housing organisations, from fast-growing charities to long-established, nationally recognised institutions. Your work will directly support strong governance, accountability, and financial sustainability across the sector. Although Social Housing is a core focus, you will have the freedom to shape your own portfolio and develop additional sector interests over time, supported by experienced partners and a well-established technical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Lead external audit engagements from planning through to completion
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring quality, budget, and deadlines are met
- Act as a trusted adviser and main point of contact for clients throughout the year
- Build and maintain strong relationships with boards, audit committees, and senior management
- Develop, coach, and support audit teams at varying levels
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations
- Support the delivery of wider assurance services where appropriate
About You
- ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified (or equivalent)
- Currently operating at Audit Manager level within external audit
- Strong technical audit and accounting knowledge
- Confident managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple engagements
- Previous experience in the non-profit, charity, or social housing sectors is advantageous but not essential.
