Come and work at our small workplace nursery, which is only 9 places and has a strict 1:3 ratio to ensure a high quality experience for both families and practitioners! We are looking for bank staff to join our team to cover illness and annual leave absence, making this role ideal for someone seeking additional hours or experience!

Contract: Permanent, full-time role available

Hours per week: Various depending on need

Pay: £12.47 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours of work: 7:45am – 5:15pm

Holiday: 28 days exclusive of bank holidays (pro rata)

TFTF Tots, at Think for the Future, is a small-setting workplace nursery, providing high-quality childcare for the employees of Think for the Future and families in the local community. Our nursery currently provides 9 places for children aged 2 months - 4 years and works strictly on a 1:3 ratio, regardless of age, to ensure that the quality of the setting remains high.

We have a vacancy for Bank/Supply Nursery Practitioners to join our team during busy periods and to cover staff holidays and sickness. This role is ideally suited to qualified Nursery Practitioners currently looking for extra hours or newly qualified Nursery Practitioners looking to gain some paid work and experience in a childcare setting. Hours are flexible to cover staff holidays and last-minute sickness cover, which is a crucial part of this role. You’ll bring your experience and enthusiasm to help run daily routines and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences that ignite curiosity, imagination, and joy. Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure it remains safe, clean, and welcoming, with well-maintained, high-quality resources and learning environments.
  • Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that reflect children’s interests, needs, and early years best practice—encouraging thinking skills, creativity, and fun.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, as well as strong connections with the wider TFTF Tots and Think for the Future teams.
  • Make the most of the local community by planning and leading regular outings and spontaneous adventures to enrich the children’s experiences.
  • Support children with SEND or additional needs with care, respect, and professionalism—identifying needs early and working collaboratively to meet them.
  • Take part in ongoing personal and professional development to ensure your practice is reflective and up to date—and support your team in doing the same.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with all safeguarding and GDPR requirements, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to create a nurturing, creative, and positive team environment where everyone is committed to delivering the highest quality care.
