A respected and career-focused further education college group in Berkshire is seeking a Plumbing & Gas Apprenticeship Mentor / Assessor to support apprentices throughout their training journey. This role will focus on mentoring, assessing, and supporting plumbing and gas apprentices to help them successfully achieve their qualifications and progress within the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing and gas professional who enjoys supporting learners and building strong relationships with apprentices and employers.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting and mentoring plumbing and gas apprentices
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing developmental feedback
  • Carrying out assessments and reviews in line with apprenticeship standards
  • Supporting learners with practical, theoretical, and workplace development
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and compliance documentation
  • Working closely with employers and curriculum teams to ensure learner success

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating
  • Gas qualifications including CCN1 and CENWAT
  • Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or willingness to work towards one
  • Industry experience within plumbing and gas
  • Strong communication and learner support skills
  • Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is highly desirable
  • Teaching qualification or curriculum delivery experience would be an advantage
