Specialist SEMH Lecturer
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £34,500 - £41,100 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Think FE are working with a supportive specialist college in Northamptonshire to recruit a Specialist SEMH Lecturer to join their Foundation Learning team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting post-16 learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
You’ll be delivering inclusive, engaging lessons that help learners build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEMH learners, including Functional Skills and bespoke programmes.
- Create innovative, trauma-informed learning experiences that promote emotional regulation and resilience.
- Support learners with additional needs through inclusive teaching and positive behaviour strategies.
Requirements
- Experience working with post-16 students, ideally within SEMH, SEND, Foundation Learning or a similar setting.
- A proven ability to motivate learners and deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
