Are you an experienced quality and compliance professional with a strong understanding of both Further and Higher Education? An ambitious college in South East London is seeking a Quality & Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in maintaining academic excellence, regulatory compliance and quality assurance across its FE, HE and apprenticeship provision. The Role

  • Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide operational leadership for academic standards, quality assurance and regulatory compliance across Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeships.
  • You'll ensure quality systems remain robust, compliant and aligned with awarding organisations and regulatory expectations while providing expert guidance on academic governance and risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead academic quality assurance and compliance across FE, HE and Apprenticeship provision.
  • Oversee awarding body compliance, assessment processes, internal verification and certification.
  • Act as the operational lead for Office for Students (OfS) regulatory compliance and academic governance.
  • Support Academic Boards, quality committees and assessment boards.
  • Lead external audits, inspections, validation and quality review activity.
  • Monitor compliance risks, produce reports and implement improvement plans.
  • Manage relationships with awarding bodies, university partners and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure academic policies, procedures and student records meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous quality improvement across the student lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in academic quality, compliance, registry or standards management within FE and HE.
  • Strong knowledge of awarding body requirements and the Office for Students regulatory framework.
  • Experience supporting inspections, audits and external quality assurance.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and translate them into practical improvements.
  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification, with ongoing professional development.
