We are recruiting a Work Placement Coordinator – Construction for a well-established further education college in Northampton.
You will work with construction employers, curriculum teams and Careers colleagues to secure high-quality work experience and Industry Placements for students.
What will you do?
- Source and support work experience and Industry Placements within construction.
- Build relationships with employers and other key stakeholders.
- Arrange masterclasses, careers talks, interview practice and virtual work experiences.
- Monitor placement hours to ensure funding requirements are met.
- Check placement providers can offer appropriate supervision and a safe working environment.
- Work closely with curriculum teams to identify suitable placement opportunities.
What are we looking for?
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with employers or clients.
- Strong links to, or experience within, the construction sector.
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and HSE standards.
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport.
