Temporary Healthcare Practice Lecturer

Location: Tyne and Wear, England

Rate: £25- £30 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay

Working Hours

This is a part-time temporary role with immediate start. The initial cover requirement includes:

  • Wednesday morning
  • All day Thursday

About the Role

We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Healthcare Practice Lecturer to support urgent cover in our Level 4 and Level 5 Higher Education provision. This role will initially support scheduled cover where internal staff are unavailable, with the opportunity to work up to 24 hours per week as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching in Bioscience subjects relating to anatomy and physiology at Level 4 and Level 5
  • Provide timely cover for scheduled sessions (initially 9 hours ASAP through Wednesday morning, all day Thursday, and ongoing hours to fill the timetable)
  • Support and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds in an inclusive FE/HE setting
  • Collaborate with the healthcare teaching team to maintain high standards of delivery and student support

What do you need?

  • Educated to Level 6 in a health‑related discipline (or equivalent)
  • Possessing clinical healthcare experience, enabling you to confidently teach bioscience topics with clinical relevance
  • Experienced in teaching or delivering content in FE/HE or professional settings
  • Able to step in at short notice and deliver structured, engaging classes
