Maths Lecturer (GCSE Resit)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Lecturer to join the team on a temporary basis, delivering GCSE Maths to 16–18-year-old learners as part of a resit programme.
The Role You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons to predominantly 16–18-year-old students, helping learners build confidence, develop essential mathematical skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
This role will involve working across two Gloucestershire locations:
- 2 days per week in Cinderford
- 3 days per week in Gloucester
Duration: Initially until October half-term, with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths teaching to resit learners
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet learner needs
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support students to improve confidence, attendance, and achievement
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner reviews
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Maths
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
- Experience delivering Maths within Further Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning settings
- Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths resit programmes
- Understanding of Functional Skills delivery
