Foundation Learning Lecturer

Salary: £36,300–£43,200 per annum

Think FE is working with a college in Northamptonshire to recruit a Foundation Learning Lecturer with animal care experience. This is an opportunity to combine practical animal knowledge with teaching that helps learners with additional needs build confidence, develop skills and make progress.
You’ll deliver engaging lessons, develop learning materials and work closely with Learning Support Assistants to provide the right support for each student.
The role
- Teach and train Foundation Learning students.
- Develop learning support programmes and teaching materials.
- Supervise a team of Learning Support Assistants.
- Assess students’ initial support needs and monitor their progress.
- Arrange appropriate additional support for examinations.
What we’re looking for
- Experience of working with learners with additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications or practical experience in working with animals.
- Experience of working with students aged 16 and over.
- Successful classroom practice that motivates and engages learners.
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
