The Role You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across GCSE English and Functional Skills, supporting learners with a range of abilities and starting points.
You will create inclusive and motivating learning experiences, monitor learner progress and provide the encouragement and challenge students need to achieve their qualifications.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills English
- Planning engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting students to develop their written and verbal communication skills
- Helping learners prepare effectively for examinations and assessments
- Maintaining accurate learner records and tracking progress
- Contributing positively to the wider English and curriculum team

- A degree in English or a closely related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification
- The ability to teach GCSE English and Functional Skills
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
