Electricians - Learn to instruct and assess students

Location: Warwickshire

Salary: £30,555 (Instructor Technician) £39,056 (Trainer Assessor) per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Think FE are working with a well-regarded further education college in Warwickshire that is looking to appoint electrical instructors and assessors on a permanent basis. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys developing the next generation of tradespeople and wants to combine their industry knowledge with training and assessment.

The Roles

For industry applicants with no education experience, you would start your journey in education as an instructor/technician in the electrical construction department in the college. You would undertake your assessing qualifications and progress. As a Trainer Assessor, you will support Electrical Construction learners throughout their programmes, helping them develop the knowledge, practical competence and professional standards required for successful careers in the industry. Your responsibilities will include delivering training, assessing learner competence, providing constructive feedback, monitoring progress and helping learners remain on track to achieve their qualifications. You will also work closely with learners, curriculum colleagues and employers to ensure training remains relevant to current industry standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong occupational experience within Electrical Installation or Electrical Construction
  • A recognised Electrical Installation qualification, including 18th Edition, NVQ level 3 and AM2.
  • Good knowledge of current industry practices and standards
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine interest in helping learners develop their careers
