Are you an experienced Electrical Lecturer or Assessor looking to take the next step into management? Think FE is working with a well-established further education college in Berkshire to recruit an Electrical Programme Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical industry credentials and experience within FE who is ready to take greater responsibility for the delivery and development of apprenticeship provision.

You will oversee the college’s Electrical Apprenticeship programmes based in Berkshire, supporting staff, maintaining high standards of delivery and ensuring apprentices receive an excellent learning experience.

The Role

As Electrical Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for the effective delivery and coordination of electrical apprenticeship provision. You will work closely with teaching and assessing staff, apprentices, employers and senior colleagues to ensure programmes meet curriculum, quality and industry requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of Electrical Apprenticeship programmes across two campuses
  • Supporting and managing teaching and assessing staff within the electrical provision
  • Monitoring learner progress, achievement and overall programme performance
  • Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Ensuring apprenticeship delivery meets awarding body, funding and compliance requirements
  • Supporting curriculum planning and continuous improvement
  • Working closely with employers to ensure apprenticeship programmes meet industry needs
  • Helping to develop the provision and maintain strong learner outcomes

What We’re Looking For

This role would suit an experienced Electrical Lecturer, Trainer or Assessor who has already built strong experience within further education and is now ready to progress into a programme management position. You will need:

  • Previous experience working within further education
  • An assessor qualification
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, AM2: JIB Gold Card or qualifications and experience equivalent to the standard required
  • A good understanding of electrical apprenticeship standards and assessment

You do not necessarily need to have held a Programme Manager title previously. The college is particularly interested in candidates who have the technical knowledge, FE experience and leadership potential to make the step up.
