About the Role
Our partner college is looking for a Creative Media Technician to support its media department throughout a busy term. You will prepare resource materials ahead of teaching sessions, support lecturers and learners during timetabled classes, and demonstrate the use of media equipment and technology. The role also involves supervising learners as required and managing stock and media resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and resources to support media teaching sessions
- Support lecturers and students during practical classes, demonstrating equipment, techniques, and processes
- Supervise students where needed to ensure safe and productive sessions
- Carry out stock control and maintain media resources and kit
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification in media (or higher)
- Experience with media-related technology such as live recording equipment, radio operating desks, and associated software
- Ability to maintain and repair a range of media-related equipment
Desirable
- Degree in Media or a related field
- Industry experience in film, music, broadcast, radio, animation, or esports
- Ability to solder and perform technical equipment maintenance
- Experience supporting students in an educational setting
