A well-established, Ofsted-rated Good further education college in the West Midlands is looking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Lecturer to join its successful Science department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated learners within a supportive and ambitious college environment that values high-quality teaching, learner success, and staff development.
The Role You will join a large and thriving Science department with dedicated laboratory facilities and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality science education. The successful candidate will teach across a range of chemistry programmes, including:

  • A Level Chemistry
  • Applied Science programmes
  • Access to Higher Education Science courses
  • Other vocational science qualifications as required
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, classroom-based lessons that inspire learners and support outstanding achievement.
What We're Looking For
  • PGCE or recognised teaching qualification
  • Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Experience teaching Chemistry within Further Education or Secondary Education
  • Ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons to groups of learners
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to learner achievement and progression
