An established and well-regarded further education college group in Berkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Lecturer / Assessor to support and assess electrical apprentices in the workplace. This is an excellent opportunity for an industry-qualified electrical professional who enjoys developing the next generation of electricians while remaining connected to the industry through employer engagement and site-based assessment activity. The role will be based across modern college campuses, with regular travel to employer sites to assess apprentices within their workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Travelling to employer sites to assess electrical apprentices in the workplace
- Supporting learners through their apprenticeship journey
- Carrying out workplace observations, reviews, and assessments
- Maintaining accurate learner progress records
- Building strong relationships with employers and apprentices
- Ensuring learners are progressing in line with apprenticeship standards
Essential Requirements
- JIB Gold Card holder
- Level 3 Electrical qualification
- 18th Edition qualification
- 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
- AM2 qualification
- Assessor Award
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Previous experience within the electrical industry
- Strong communication and organisational skills
