A well-established and highly regarded land-based college in the Midlands is looking to appoint a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to support and promote a positive culture of health, safety, and wellbeing across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Foster and promote a positive culture of Health & Safety across the College
- Provide Health & Safety support and advice to staff and managers
- Ensure practices and procedures comply with current legislation and College policies
- Monitor and audit risk management policies and procedures
- Deliver briefings and training on Health & Safety matters to individuals and teams
- Produce accurate reports for a range of stakeholders
- Provide occupational health support and advice across the College
- Liaise with external enforcement agencies where required
What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Minimum Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English Language
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working within a similar Health & Safety role
- Experience delivering Health & Safety briefings or training
- Ability to produce clear and accurate reports
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria
- Experience liaising with external enforcement agencies
- Experience working within an agricultural or land-based environment
