Think FE are proud to be advertising this opportunity on behalf of a well‐established and student‐focused college in Northampton, who are seeking a dedicated Exams Manager to lead and coordinate their central Exams service. The Exams team is a vital part of the college's infrastructure, supporting academic success through the efficient and compliant delivery of assessments across all departments. This is a rewarding leadership role for someone with a strong background in examinations who thrives on detail, organisation, and supporting young people through a critical stage in their education.
You will manage all aspects of the exam cycle, lead a small team, and collaborate across departments to ensure exam processes are delivered efficiently and in line with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage internal and external examinations
- Ensure full compliance with JCQ and Awarding Organisation regulations
- Supervise and support the Exams team
- Coordinate invigilation and access arrangements
- Maintain accurate records and exam data
- Liaise with curriculum staff, students, and external bodies
- Create an organised and supportive exam environment
- Experience working in an examinations environment
- Knowledge of Awarding Organisation processes
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Calm, professional, and student-focused approach
- 38 days' annual leave, including 8 bank holidays
- Up to 5 discretionary College closure days
