About the Role
An Ofsted-rated further education college in Warwickshire is seeking a new team member to support its thriving Plumbing department. Whether you\'re an experienced lecturer with teaching qualifications or a skilled plumbing professional ready to move into education, this opportunity offers the flexibility to apply as either a Lecturer or an Instructor depending on your background.

Responsibilities
You will be delivering high-quality teaching and practical training to students working towards their qualifications in Plumbing. Responsibilities will vary slightly depending on your path:
Lecturer Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging theory-based lessons from Level 1 to Level 3
- Plan schemes of work, sessions and assessments in line with curriculum requirements
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
- Carry out assessing and internal verification (IQA if qualified)
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and attainment
- Liaise with employers and support student work placements
Instructor Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on, practical plumbing training in a workshop environment
- Assess students competency and provide feedback
- Support learners with developing trade skills and safe working practices
- Work closely with lecturers and curriculum staff to align delivery with academic content
Candidate Requirements
Lecturer Applicants Will Need:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent)
- Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent)
- Ideally, Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
- Experience delivering L1 L3 plumbing in a college or training setting
Instructor Applicants Will Need:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Significant industry experience in plumbing or building services
- Confidence delivering practical demonstrations and assessing learners in workshop settings
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification, if not already held
