The Role

You will deliver engaging teaching across Level 1 to Level 3 Countryside Management and Land-based Studies programmes, combining classroom delivery with practical outdoor learning. You'll help students develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required for careers within the land-based sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Countryside Management and Land-based Studies.
  • Prepare engaging lesson materials and assess student progress.
  • Deliver both practical and theory-based sessions.
  • Support students to achieve recognised vocational qualifications.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and positive learner outcomes.
  • Support curriculum development and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Practical industry experience within Countryside Management, Land-based Studies, Agriculture, Forestry, Ecology or a related discipline.
  • A Level 5 (or above) qualification in a relevant subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • A willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already qualified.

Desirable

  • Experience teaching, training or mentoring within further education or industry.
  • NEBOSH qualification or strong health and safety knowledge.
  • Chainsaw or other land-based machinery certificates.
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
  • Experience delivering vocational qualifications such as BTEC, City & Guilds or Lantra.
