The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a carpenter you don t need teaching experience! If you re qualified to at least Level 4 in Carpentry and Joinery and have solid, hands-on industry experience in the trade, the college will support you with full teacher training.
You ll:
- Deliver practical and classroom-based sessions to Carpentry and Joinery students studying up to level 3
- Share your expertise and passion for the trades, helping students develop technical skills and workplace readiness
- Work within a supportive team that values your industry knowledge
You will need:
- Level 3 qualification (minimum) in Carpentry and Joinery
- Substantial industry experience in site carpentry
- Commitment to training and developing young people for the future workforce
- No teaching experience needed just a willingness to learn and share your expertise
- To undergo an enhanced DBS check including child barred list should you be offered the position
What s on Offer:
- Salary of £33,487 £39,941 per annum
- You could also be eligible for a £6,000 tax-free payment available for new teachers in technical subjects
