Think FE is recruiting an experienced electrical professional to join a well-established further education college in Hull as an Electrical Skills Coach. This is an excellent opportunity to use your electrical industry experience in a different way, supporting apprentices as they develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career. You’ll work closely with learners and employers, providing coaching, mentoring and assessment throughout the apprenticeship journey.
The role:
- Coaching, mentoring and reviewing electrical apprentices throughout their programme
- Assessing learners against relevant apprenticeship standards
- Carrying out progress reviews and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Supporting learners to develop their practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours
- Working closely with employers to monitor progress and provide guidance
- Supporting apprentices at employer premises, at the college and remotely
- Helping learners prepare for successful completion of their apprenticeship and achieve the highest grades possible
- Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievement
What do you need?
- A Level 3 Electrical qualification
- An Assessor qualification
- Previous experience assessing Electrical apprentices or learners
- Strong occupational knowledge of the electrical industry
- Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills
- A genuine commitment to helping apprentices develop and succeed
