Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We are working with a supportive and forward-thinking college in Northamptonshire, looking to appoint a Job Coach. You will help learners secure meaningful work placements, support them to succeed, and help them transition into paid employment. You will work closely with employers, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and inclusive working environment for the interns.

Day to day you will be:

  • Job matching suitable candidates to placement opportunities
  • Undertaking job analysis and workplace risk assessments
  • Delivering systematic instruction and ongoing mentoring
  • Supporting travel training where required
  • Advising employers to facilitate sustainable employment for young people with additional needs

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience supporting young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally
  • Commitment to safeguarding and equality best practice
  • For the Senior Job Coach, experience mentoring staff or supporting more complex cases is desirable
  • Minimum GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent
  • A degree or equivalent is desirable
  • Accreditation in Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI) would be advantageous

What’s on offer?

  • £25,110.00 - £27,400.00 per annum (£20,281.15 - £22,1230.77 per annum after pro rata)
  • Local Government Pension Scheme (20% employer contribution)
  • Health Cash Plan (subject to conditions)
  • 33 days holiday including public holidays (pro rata)
