The Opportunity: An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ college in Greater Manchester is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and engaging Horticulture Apprenticeship Assessor to support the delivery of their Level 2 apprenticeship provision. This is a part-time, permanent opportunity ideal for someone passionate about skills-based learning and experienced in workplace assessment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering structured group sessions to apprentices on the Level 2 Horticulture Apprenticeship Standard
- Conducting on-site workplace assessments to ensure apprentices meet required competencies
- Completing reviews and setting SMART action plans to guide apprentice progress
- Keeping accurate records and tracking progression to support timely achievement
What We’re Looking For: To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Assessor qualification
- A Level 3 Teaching qualification
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Horticulture, ideally a HND or higher
- If you don't hold a teaching or assessing qualification you are welcome to still apply
- A good understanding of apprenticeship standards and vocational training
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as site visits are a key part of the role
