Location: An Ofsted rated Good college in Derbyshire

Contract Type: Temporary, ASAP start (to end of January)

Rate: Competitive, paid PAYE weekly with 12.07% holiday pay

About Us: We are recruiting on behalf of a well established further education college in Derbyshire which holds an Ofsted rating of Good. The college delivers strong vocational provision in Health & Social Care, and values applicants with real world experience, strong behaviour management, and inclusive practice. The college environment is welcoming and supportive, with a large and diverse student cohort, including learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Health & Social Care courses at Levels 1 & 2, along with Routes (Entry 3).
  • Provide high quality teaching and learning in a focused classroom environment.
  • Manage and support learners (including those with SEN) effectively and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and prepare students for further education or employment.
  • Work collaboratively with the department and contribute to a positive learning culture.

Required Criteria:

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent)
  • PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience delivering Health & Social Care content in an FE or similar setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and full access to teach in the FE sector

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Background in the Health & Social Care sector
  • Experience working with lower-level or entry-level learners
  • Familiarity with Entry Level 3 and Level 1/2 vocational curriculum
