Are you an experienced Health & Social Care professional who enjoys helping others develop their skills and confidence? Think FE are recruiting a Health & Care Trainer for a well-established further education provider in Teesside. Based within the college’s Adult & Community Learning provision, this is an excellent opportunity to use your sector knowledge to support adult learners and apprentices as they develop the skills needed to progress within health and care. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start available.

The role

As a Health & Care Trainer, you will support learners through high-quality teaching, training and assessment, helping them connect their studies with the realities of working within the health and social care sector.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering engaging Health & Social Care teaching and training
  • Supporting learners across relevant programmes and qualifications
  • Providing individual guidance and coaching throughout the learner journey
  • Assessing learner knowledge, skills and occupational competence
  • Monitoring progress and setting clear, achievable development targets
  • Providing constructive feedback to help learners improve
  • Maintaining accurate learner and assessment records
  • Supporting learners to successfully complete their programmes
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Adult & Community Learning
  • Ensuring teaching and assessment reflects current professional standards and practice

  • A relevant vocational qualification within Health & Social Care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
