Learning Support Practitioner Location: West Midlands Pay: Around £15 per hour Contract: Temporary Hours: Various part-time and full-time opportunities available Think FE are working with a well-established further education college in the West Midlands that is looking for experienced Learning Support Practitioners to support students with SEND across its provision. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with young people and making a meaningful difference to their learning, confidence and independence. The Role As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will support students with additional needs both inside and outside the classroom. Much of the support will be delivered on a one-to-one basis, helping individual learners to access their studies and get the most from their time at college. Your responsibilities may include: Providing one-to-one support for students with SEND and additional learning needs Supporting students during classroom-based activities Helping learners to remain engaged, focused and confident in their studies Supporting students outside the classroom where required Encouraging independence while providing appropriate individual support Working closely with teaching staff and other support professionals Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment When applying, please let us know the days and hours you are available to work so we can match you with the most suitable opportunity. What We're Looking For To be considered, you will need: Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs Experience working with SEND learners A relevant qualification in SEND, Learning Support, Childcare or a related area A patient, supportive and adaptable approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to build positive professional relationships with young people Experience within a school, college, specialist education or similar learning environment would be particularly valuable.
