Think FE are working with a well-established further education college in Coventry to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Games Design Lecturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking creative department delivering across Level 2, Level 3 and HND Games Design provision.
You’ll be joining a supportive college environment with excellent facilities and a strong focus on helping learners develop the creative, technical and professional skills needed for progression into higher education or the games industry.
The role:
- As a Games Design Lecturer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of games design and games art programmes.
- You’ll support learners in developing their technical ability, creative confidence and understanding of industry-standard workflows.
- You will teach across Level 2, Level 3 and HND provision, helping students build skills in areas such as 3D modelling, game engines, digital art and production pipelines.
What we’re looking for:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant Games Design or Games Art discipline.
- A degree in a related subject, which is desirable.
- A relevant teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong experience and knowledge of games design packages, including Maya, Substance Painter and Unreal Engine.
- The ability to inspire, motivate and support learners across different levels.
- A genuine passion for games design, digital creativity and further education.
