Year 5 /PPA Cover Teacher

Location: Islington, North London. Start Date: ASAP. Days: 5 days a week. Pay: £150- £200 per day based on experience. Contract: 1 term.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and reliable Year 5 Teacher / PPA Cover Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who enjoys working across the curriculum and can provide high-quality classroom cover while maintaining continuity and a positive learning environment.

The Role

• Teach and support a Year 5 class each morning
• Provide PPA cover across designated classes as required every afternoon
• Deliver engaging lessons using plans and resources provided by the school
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Assess and provide feedback on pupils' learning where required
• Work closely with class teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders
• Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil wellbeing

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an appropriate teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Is confident teaching Year 5 / Key Stage 2 as well as in Key Stage 1
• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Is adaptable, organised and dependable
• Is committed to safeguarding and supporting children's development
