Are you passionate about developing the next generation of health and social care professionals? A vibrant and inclusive South London FE college is seeking an enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturer to join their team from Easter.
This long‐term cover role is to support the department during an extended staff absence, with full teaching responsibilities across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a practical, career‐focused FE environment.
What you will be doing
- Deliver engaging, high‐quality lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care pathways
- Teach core units such as human lifespan development, safeguarding, equality & diversity, and working in health & social care
- Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson resources, and assessments
- Support learners with coursework, portfolios, and exam preparation
- Track progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate learner achievement
- Contribute to the wider curriculum and work collaboratively with the department
What we are looking for
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or xgikmsk willingness to obtain one)
- Strong subject knowledge and experience delivering Health & Social Care within FE or KS5
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- A supportive, collaborative approach and commitment to learner success
