This independent nursery in Kensington is seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Specialist Teacher to join their dedicated team from April 2026. This is a part-time, term-time only maternity cover role which will become full time from September 2026. About the School This Kensington early years setting is nestled in a beautiful, well-resourced building. This nursery is a small, friendly school where children thrive. About the Role β’ Teach two separate morning Nursery classes (ages 3β5) under the EYFS curriculum. β’ Inspire young learners at the very start of their educational journey. β’ Create fun, interactive, and engaging lessons that spark curiosity and confidence. β’ Work as a team with the Head Teacher and Nursery Nurse of both classes. β’ Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. What we are looking for β’ PGCE / QTS or a level 6 early years qualification with a minimum of 3 yearsβ experience (preferably in Early Years or Reception). β’ Calm, creative teaching style with strong classroom management. β’ Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. β’ SENDCo experience is a plus. β’ Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare. Key Details β’ Hours: 8:00 AM β 1:30 PM, term-time only (occasional evening events). β’ Salary: Β£28,000βΒ£32,000 pro rata (based on qualifications and experience). β’ Contract: Fixed Term (20 April 2026 β mid-July 2027), with potential to extend fulltime into September 2026. β’ Class Size: Small, focused groups for optimal learning. β’ Excellent work life balance- the nursery is open for 36 weeks a year instead of 39 weeks a year.
