To provide efficient, sensitive, and well-organised administrative support to the BLAST (Building lives after stroke team) Support Worker, helping ensure stroke survivors and their families receive timely, coordinated, and person-centred support., 1. Administrative Support

1. Administrative Support

  • Manage diaries, appointments, and scheduling for the BLAST Support Worker
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and individual case-related documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service users
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and referrals, responding or directing as appropriate

2. Service User Coordination

  • Act as a first point of contact for stroke survivors, carers, and professionals
  • Support the referral process, ensuring all required information is collected and recorded
  • Arrange & send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care

3. Data Management & Reporting

  • Input and update data on both internal and external systems and databases in line with funding criteria
  • Support monitoring and reporting requirements (e.g., outcomes, activity levels, support plan data)
  • Assist with audits and data quality checks

4. Meeting & Event Support

  • Arrange meetings, including booking venues, hubs or virtual platforms
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions
  • Support organisation of support groups, awareness events, or training sessions

5. Resource & Information Management

  • Maintain supplies of information packs and resources for Stroke survivors
  • Ensure materials are up to date and accessible
  • Support distribution of information to service users and stakeholders

6. Partnership & Team Support

  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, community organisations, and internal teams when required in order to support the BLAST support worker.
  • Support communication between the BLAST Support Worker and external partners
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment Empathetic and patient approach when dealing with vulnerable individuals
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable in a busy environment
