The Role
This role can be shaped as either a Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Manager position, depending on your experience and career goals. You’ll manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, combining compliance with advisory work and collaborating closely with partners on more complex matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment returns
- Delivering tax planning and advisory work
- Overseeing tax compliance processes and deadlines
- Handling HMRC enquiries
- Supporting VAT compliance and advisory work
- Preparing and reviewing P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and sharing knowledge
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Playing a key role in the ongoing development of the tax function
Working Hours – Genuinely Flexible

What They’re Looking For
- 6+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice (essential)
- Strong experience across corporation tax and personal tax
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified (AAT considered with experience)
- Comfortable managing clients, deadlines and competing priorities
- Strong technical and advisory capability
- Experience using IRIS, CCH, Sage and/or Xero
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- A minimum of 4 years’ UK practice experience
