The firm has invested in modern systems, sensible processes and flexibility, creating an environment where people can do great work without burning out.

The Role

This role can be shaped as either a Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Manager position, depending on your experience and career goals. • Handling HMRC enquiries
  • Supporting VAT compliance and advisory work
  • Preparing and reviewing P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation and sharing knowledge
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members
  • Playing a key role in the ongoing development of the tax function

Working Hours – Genuinely Flexible

This firm recognises that flexibility looks different for everyone.

  • Typical office hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Flexible start times: you can start anytime from 7:15am
  • Prefer an early start and an early finish? That’s absolutely fine.
  • The focus is on output, not clock-watching

It’s a grown-up approach that works particularly well for experienced tax professionals.

  • 6+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice (essential)
  • Strong experience across corporation tax and personal tax
  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified (AAT considered with experience)
  • Comfortable managing clients, deadlines and competing priorities
  • Strong technical and advisory capability
  • Experience using IRIS, CCH, Sage and/or Xero
  • Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
  • A minimum of 4 years’ UK practice experience

What’s On Offer

  • Flexible working hours with early start / early finish options
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Study support if still completing qualifications
  • Supportive, professional culture with long-term progression
  • Real scope to step into — or grow within — a Tax Manager role
