£45,000 – £55,000 + benefits | Office-based | Clear route to Director & equity.

A different kind of accountancy practice. Knight Brown Accountants is a well-established, growing practice based in Sandbach. Founded 15 years ago by Andy, an ACCA accountant with over 30 years’ experience, the firm has built its reputation by focusing on what really matters: Good clients. Good people. Doing things properly.

They look after around 500 SME limited company clients, working proactively to add value — not just deliver compliance. They don’t chase volume, buy practices or operate like a corporate machine. Instead, they have grown steadily, with strong profits, excellent cash flow and new client enquiries coming in daily.

As they move towards their next stage of growth, they are looking for a Senior Manager / Client Manager to play a key role in running the practice and supporting the team.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the owner to help manage:

  • A friendly, settled team of trainees through to qualified accountants
  • Workflow, deadlines and day-to-day practice operations
  • A portfolio of SME Ltd company clients
  • Review of statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax work
  • Client relationships, meetings and proactive advice

Over time, this role offers a genuine pathway to Associate Director, Director and equity for the right person.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has experience in accountancy practice
  • Is confident with Ltd company accounts and corporation tax
  • Has managed staff (or is ready to take that next step)
  • Enjoys working with people and building long-term client relationships
  • Wants progression without corporate politics

You don’t need to be fully ACCA/ACA qualified if your experience is there — we’re open to strong, all-round practitioners ready for the next step.

What’s on offer

  • Salary £45,000 – £55,000
  • Car or car allowance
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension and healthcare considered
  • Working hours 8:30–4:30 (flexible start between 8–9am)
  • A stable, profitable practice with a genuinely supportive culture

The culture

This is an office-based role within a close-knit, supportive and friendly team. We value organisation, trust and doing a good job — not long hours or unnecessary pressure.

If you’re looking for a long-term role in a quality practice where you can genuinely make an impact, I would love to hear from you.
