Looking for a role where your progression is genuinely planned, not just promised? Imagine joining a firm where audit and accounts are properly balanced, your development is actively supported, and long hours are not worn as a badge of honour. This growing practice is led by two approachable, hands-on Directors and has built a culture that truly puts people first. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to welcome an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior into their collaborative and supportive team.
The Role
This is a true 50/50 Audit & Accounts position, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to continue developing across both disciplines. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of Ltd company clients, ranging from SMEs to larger statutory group audits, across sectors including manufacturing, IT, retail and charities.
On the accounts side, you’ll be involved in:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Producing management accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Preparing VAT returns for a varied client base
- Supporting tax computations alongside Senior staff
- Building strong, confident client relationships
On the audit side, you’ll:
- Prepare high-quality audit working papers
- Support and deliver statutory audits for SME and group clients
- Identify risks and control weaknesses, feeding these back to Seniors
- Develop professional relationships with clients on-site
There is occasional travel to client sites (e.g. Wrexham, London or Portsmouth), but this is infrequent and always planned well in advance.
