Accounts & Audit Senior - UK Practice
North West Hybrid & Flexible Working £42,000 - £55,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits
Good Audit & Accounts roles are becoming harder to find, especially in firms where:
- Audit is still valued properly
- People are trusted
- Progression is realistic
- The culture hasn’t disappeared as the business has grown
This is one of those opportunities that genuinely stands out. We are currently representing a highly respected independent accountancy practice that continues to grow across the North West whilst still maintaining the supportive, collaborative culture that originally made the firm successful. Despite significant growth and now employing over 100 staff, the business remains owner-managed and fiercely independent — something that has allowed them to continue investing heavily into their people rather than operating like a corporate production line.
The firm is now looking to strengthen its Accounts & Audit team with the appointment of an experienced Senior who enjoys both client interaction and the technical side of practice. This is not a role where you will simply sit in the background ticking boxes. They are looking for somebody who wants to build strong client relationships, support junior team members and become a genuine part of the future growth of the office.
The Opportunity:
- Leading and supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Working closely with a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted contact
- Working closely with senior leadership across the office
Why this opportunity stands out:
- Independent, people-first practice
- Strong mix of audit and accounts work
- Genuine progression opportunities
- Hybrid & flexible working
- Supportive leadership team
- Modern, collaborative culture
- Long-term investment into staff development
- A firm where you are genuinely recognised and valued
The ideal candidate will already have experience within UK accountancy practice and feel comfortable working across both audit and accounts preparation. ACA / ACCA qualified or close to qualification preferred. If you’re currently feeling stuck, undervalued or simply curious about what else is out there, confidential conversations are always welcomed.
