The Role: As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will take ownership of a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services while working closely with partners and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
- Providing tax planning and advisory support, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency
- Managing tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Handling HMRC enquiries and liaising directly with tax authorities
- Supporting VAT compliance and advisory work, including registrations and queries
- Preparing and reviewing P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and sharing insights with the team
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members as appropriate
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the tax department
What They’re Looking For:
- 6 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential)
- Strong experience across corporation tax and personal tax
- AAT qualified or ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified
- Ability to manage clients, deadlines and workloads independently
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using tax and accounting software such as IRIS, CCH, Sage and/or Xero
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
