You have built your experience. You can prepare accounts, manage deadlines and speak confidently with clients. This is an opportunity to step into a Senior Accountant role where you can take real ownership of your work, build trusted relationships with your own portfolio of clients and become an important part of the wider team. It is not a role where you will simply sit behind a screen preparing accounts. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, support junior team members and continue developing your career within a practice where there is room to grow.

Having worked with this practice on many occasions, I can confidently say this is a place I would love to work myself. They are an established and highly regarded accountancy practice with a strong local presence, a loyal client base and, most importantly, a genuinely supportive team. The people matter here. They invest in their staff, want people to progress and are looking for someone who wants to become part of the practice for the long term.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients
  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Supporting with personal tax work where required
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients
  • Building trusted, long-term client relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Managing your own workload and deadlines
  • Working closely with managers and the wider team

What are we looking for?

You will need previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be confident preparing accounts and working directly with clients. You may be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience. What matters most is the experience you can bring, your approach to clients and your desire to continue developing.

You might not be actively looking for a new role. But if you are wondering whether there could be a practice where you feel more valued, have more responsibility and can genuinely build a long-term career, this one is worth a conversation. Apply today or contact Katie Shutt at Think Accountancy and Finance for a private and confidential chat. Not ready to apply? That is absolutely fine. A conversation does not need to mean a commitment to move.
