Are you an experienced Management Accountant with a background in retail or hospitality? Our client, a dynamic business based in Borehamwood, is seeking a Management Accountant to support their finance team and play a vital role in driving financial performance.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing key financial statements, monitoring company performance, and providing critical financial insights to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare income statements and balance sheets
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce financial reports and variance analyses (actual vs. budget)
- Identify financial risks and present findings to senior leadership
- Communicate key financial data to non-financial managers
- Manage the company's bank accounts
- Handle accruals and revenue postings
- Manage accounts receivable
- Generate statistical reports and perform financial analysis
- Support month-end and year-end audits
- Prepare CAPEX and cash flow reports
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar, varied Management Accountant role
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
- A solid understanding of discounted cash flows
- Excellent bookkeeping knowledge
- Strong communication skills, particularly when liaising with non-financial stakeholders
