Think Accountancy are looking for an immediately available Part-Time Payroll Administrator to support a friendly and hands-on business based in a rural location on the outskirts of St Albans. Due to the location, access to your own transport is essential. Working Monday to Wednesday, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a supportive team and provide essential payroll support while the business undergoes a new system implementation.
The Role
- You will take responsibility for the day-to-day payroll administration, ensuring payroll data is accurate, complete and ready to be submitted to the external payroll bureau for processing.
- Alongside payroll, there will also be some general finance administration, including invoice processing and supplier payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 150 employees
- Processing starters and leavers
- Calculating holiday pay, SSP, SMP and SPP
- Processing staff expenses
- Checking absences have been correctly recorded on the HR system
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies
- Maintaining HMRC records
- Ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
- Processing salary changes, annual increases and bonuses
- Managing payroll queries from employees
- Supporting with invoice processing and supplier payments
- Providing general administrative support as required
About You
- We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a Payroll Administrator role
- Has a good understanding of payroll calculations and processes
- Is confident checking and validating payroll data
- Has experience using ADP software
- Is available to start immediately
- Is happy working on-site Monday to Wednesday
- Has access to a car due to the rural location
